iTunes Review

It’s pretty easy to fall head over heels with Feist’s “1234”—the damnably catchy pop tune that anchors The Reminder—but there’s so much more here to love. The Canadian songbird confidently revisits the winning soft-pop template of Let It Die with added bump, hustle, and swagger, stirring a little Dusty Springfield and echoes of her own rock-chick pedigree into a dreamy mélange that’s both defiantly genre-less and thoroughly accessible. It still sounds like nothing but Feist.

Reminder: Hype Killed The Indie Star

Poor, lucky Leslie. Cover feature in the NYT, awesome review on Pitchfork, darling indie daughter of ours. This is good record, maybe even a very good record. But it doesn't even come close to matching the hype. Somehow the record fails to connect. Despite the songs of loss and love, it feels too distant, too cautious. I wish Feist would have let her guard down some more. It just seems a bit too calculated for my taste.

Standing Approval

This album is a knock out. Feist has always been able to capture a moment, but she truly exemplifies the beauty of music and soul in this album. If you havn't heard it, buy the album, it is worth every last cent. Feist truly expresses her voice in this album too, not letting background music or tunes to muffle her gorgeous voice. She has created a perfect balance between harmony and happiness in every track on this album. Songs like '1234' and 'My Moon My Man' will blow you away, the music is real, down to earth and eloquent. Your heart can float away on every word. In all honesty, this album is going to be one of the greatest hits of 2007, so don't be behind the ball. Let this Calgary born Canadian shed some light into your music choices... you won't regret it. If i could, I would give her 6 stars, a blue ribbon, a trophy and a huge round of applause, she deserves it.

this is such a good album, 1234, brandy alexander, and honey honey are amazing, ahh such a album 5 STARS ALL THE WAY
