Album Review

Award-winning praise and worship leader Byron Cage recorded 2009's Faithful to Believe at Second Ebenezer church in his native Detroit. The former music director for the city's Greater Grace Temple, Byron was joined by special guests Tye Tribbett, Karen Clark-Sheard and Marvin L. Winans, as well as a top notch group of Detroit area choir members and instrumentalists. Longtime fans of Byron's spirited blend of high energy gospel jams and soaring, emotive balladry will not be disappointed.

Customer Reviews

I distinctly remember that I instantly LOVED this album after 30 seconds of the first song. I had never owned anything by Byron Cage before this (SHOCK!!) and so I did not know what to expect when I purchased the album on a whim. As a musician, a pastor and a worship leader, I cannot turn off the part of my brain that seeks to learn new things from the inspiration I receive by listening to other artists and I have to say that my imagination was FLOODED as I listened to this album. I literally played this album over and over again as the message, meaning and passion wafted over me. It shall be a favourite of mine for many years to come. I especially love track 11 - Good bye because the beat, groove and sound of it is oh-so-good! Thanks for my favourite album of 2009 - 2010!
