Great place to start.

If you are new to Ray Charles this is a great place to start. This was his first LP so must of the songs were released as singles starting with 'Mess Around' in 1953.

I personally can't stand the barrage of greatest hits compilations you encounter when searching someone as popular as Ray Charles.
This is not one of those...this is the REAL DEAL!

All of his Atlantic work is worth checking out, even 'The Great Ray Charles' (Atlantic 1259) one of his only true Jazz releases featuring Ray leading a trio, Quartet, and Quintet.

This self titled debut finds Ray Charles at his finest and most raw. A must have!!!

Pretty good

All the songs are pretty good but I luv mess around :D
