Tom Petty & The Walletbreakers

Tom Petty (Live Anthology Quick-Review):
I love the band, one of my favorites of all time, this cd seems like an amazing creation of a massive Heartbreakers concert. Benmont , Mike and the boys really pour it all out for us during their shows, and that you can't buy.

Price:
$1.29 a song? I wonder why people pirate these albums... $25 for an album is lunacy It all has to do with the greeedy business men at Reprise & Co.

For fans only...

Hey - I've gotten this album via Tom's Superhighway Tour online. The tracks are excellent, really good performances.

$25 seems steep, until you take notice that there are 48 tracks! That amounts to 4 CDs, that's a lot of music for the price of 2 discs. Not to mention that iTunes has tossed in 3 live video clips.

Worth it, if you're a fan. Casual listeners should look into the Anthology collection, or the re-release of the Greatest Hits collection.

Cheers!

Michael

Tom Petty

This may not seem like a great deal when you look at it but it's 48 tracks that's 3 CDs or 6 records not to mention the extra video clips apple has thrown in but this price of 25 dollars isn't for ever one but if you are a true fan it is a great buy

Petty's tales of American losers and dreamers were simple and direct, but emotionally charged. The Heartbreakers were a lean, tight band that could handle hard rock & roll and melodic pop equally well. The group gained critical attention and solid sales with their first album, but 1979's Damn...
