Bassist André Lachance is quite active in the ensembles, offering constant commentary, while drummer Dylan van der Schyff is both subtle and stimulating. The emphasis on the 11 songs of Trio (with a few exceptions) is on ballads with close interplay, introspective sections, and a feeling of near-equality between the three musicians.
