Full of surprises. Unexpected and happy.

There's such a smile in Paul's voice no matter the song. This is a throw-me-into-a-mood album. I'm poppin' Champagne and doing the tango like a rock star with Sir Paul at the helm. Lovely warm renditions of songs we all remember and now will hear anew. Why Goodbye by a new artist, Buddy Mix hits the same notes. I recommend you listen to it too on Itunes. It has some great music. I know Paul would love that one too. Great job. Tonight I'll be fallin' asleep to a swingin' McCartney dream.

A change of pace but still a classic!

To start I love this CD-I even love the title!! Keep in mind this is a "covers" record with 2 originals that sit perfectly aside these classics. This CD nicely bookends with "Run Devil Run" from a few years back when he covered the early rock n roll songs that influenced him and his song writing. This time Paul digs a bit deeper into the 30's & 40's and once again he delivers a beautiful collection of songs wonderfully backed up by Dianna Krall's Band and some guests. I must admit when I saw songs like "Inchworm" and "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive" I thought there may be some chringing going on but "Inchworm' is a true standout. Throughout the entire CD I kept marvelling at Paul's voice-it has never been so warm and vulnerable. It is a remarkable thing to listen to a 70 year old rock n roll ledgend sound so at place along side Tony Bennett or Frank Sinatra as a top notch crooner. Open a bottle of wine, light the fire, put your arm around your Valentine and listen to this CD!!!!!

very dull, boring. better off sticking to silly love songs.

Out of all the former Beatles, Paul McCartney by far had the most successful solo career, maintaining a constant presence in the British and American charts during the '70s and '80s. In America alone, he had nine number one singles and seven number one albums during the first 12 years of his solo career. Although he sold records, McCartney never attained much critical respect, especially when compared to his former partner, John Lennon. Then again, he pursued a different path than Lennon, deciding...
