Star Wars Headspace

Guided by studio Jedi Rick Rubin, a host of dance and electronica producers have been let loose in the Star Wars archives to build music from sound effects and dialogue snippets. The results stretch from Breakbot’s tasteful droid disco (“Star Tripper”) and Flying Lotus’s hypnotic, low-key jazz-hop (“R2 Where R U?”) to GTA imagining the Dark Side finding the light in a warehouse rave (“Help Me!”). Crucially, everything is done with a sense of adventure and imagination worthy of the Star Wars name.
