Kill the Lights Luke Bryan

EDITORS’ NOTES
At nearly 40, perennial country partyboy Luke Bryan’s still out for fun, but he also sounds like he's rethinking what that word means. Following what he says is the last of his Spring Break EPs, Kill the Lights opens with the backroads rallying cry of “Kick the Dust Up” and follows with the Hall & Oates-style slink of the title track before settling into “Strip it Down,” a ballad about marital romance that doubles as a metaphor for simplicity: “We both know that we lost it somehow / Let’s get it found / Strip it down.”

Ratings and Reviews
The glory days are gone.
Luke's music has taken a nosedive of late. The music seems lost without a purpose and most of the songs have no redeeming qualities beyond the artist himself. The rhymes are simple, if not predictable as anything, and the tempos feel forced & not at all natural. I'd rather buy Tailgates & Tanlines 3 times over than pay $12 for this. Kick the Dust Up, Fast, and that's it, skip the rest.
"Kill The Singer" Instead
Look up the word "Crap" in the dictionary and you will find Luke's picture. Musical talent of a dead goat!
Not impressed
Doesn't have the carefree fun vibe of previous recordings.
