Album Review

A reclusive and poetically careful songwriter, Jean-Louis Murat is the French equivalent of Leonard Cohen in many ways, and his sensitive and lyrically ambitious songs are among the best on the French rock scene and have been for many years. Always creatively restless, Murat released Tristan (on which he played all the instruments) in 2008, retelling the sad story of Tristan in love with Isolde.
