Must Be Nice paints a picture of a dreamer with a penchant for retro sounds who’s prone to temptation: “Mad” is doo-wop rap about sweet-talking a suitor, and “Stay High” raps an ode to staying blunted over ‘50s-inspired girl group harmonies. Alongside the partying and wry boasts, G-Eazy puts his deadpan Cali drawl to ruminations on what it all means, especially on the indie rock-influenced title track.
