The Sword are Killer!

This band gets a lot of hate for being "hipster metal" whatever that means. To my ears, they sound like an American Heavy Metal band frm Texas, that likes their Sabbath, old thrash, and steer clear of fancy studio polishing. Sure they have a retro sound, but it works well for them. To me they have a really good rasp of what they are good at, and that is not death metal, black, progressive, or any other modern genre, they are good at old school 70s & 80s era metal.

Rad album

It's a must get it or you don't like metal!

nothing new

im surprised something done so many times can turn out so popular. they are basically a black sabbath clone. nothing else. no new sounds. no new ideas. listening to this is like listening to timber on hit music radio.
