iTunes Review

The Eagles' first studio album in 28 years builds on the elements that made them one of the most exciting bands of the '70s. Their original country-rock sound takes the lead on the first section, with the twangy guitars and pealing harmonies of "How Long" and the gently wistful "No More Cloudy Days" particular standouts. The second half leads off with the Iraq War commentary of the epic title track, but Joe Walsh's well-lubricated rocker "Last Good Time In Town" keeps the mood from getting too heavy.

the eagles

this is one great cd, saw them in toronto july 08 awsome show. my favorite band in the whole world

Being a teenager in the 70's and growing up with their music through the 80's, the Eagles are a fixture in my past. Just saw the Long Road Out of Eden concert and LOVED it. This album is music to "think to" if one is so inclined. It sounds classic and sends a message...something I always liked about the Eagles. Well worth the 12 bucks...

At the end of the 20th century, two of those albums -- Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) and Hotel California -- ranked among the ten best-selling albums ever, and the popularity of 2007's Long Road Out of Eden proved the Eagles' staying power in the new millennium. Though most of its members came from outside California, the group was closely identified...
