I was really curious when I bought this one. Love the Beatles. Love her voice. And the first song is really good. And then the rest of the record showed up. Why does everyone cover the same songs? The lack of imagination on display is reallysomething- not just here but in general. Who wants to be the billionth perosn to warble 'Let It Be'? Hasn't 'Long & Winding Rd' been DONE? The arrangements here are ok, some nice unexpected turns. And Ms. Flack sounds amazing. A real missed oportunity. On the plus side, this record is a flashback to how things used to be. A great singer was never expected to generate their own material. Ironically the Beatles changed that. I hope she sings some more, she sounds lovely.
