Has it's moments....

In yet another move to Capitalize on a movie - This album was released to co-incide with Rush Hour and also co-released the Lead single "let's ride" featuring Master P. On this Montell's 3rd Album it was very clear Montell and the record company were at odds with each other in terms of how they saw his career image. The album's marketing and a few of the Tracks were designed to address the fact that 1996's album More.. lacked the edgey Urban R&B of "This is how we do it " The Song that Made Montell an overnight Success. But still they were on the slower side of urban. And it was clear by the singing Montell didn't really favour that style. Let's Ride was a prime example. All of the Vocal prowess however was on Montell's Favorite thing - Ballads. The best song on the Album Anything and Everything Featuring Redman was never released commercially - And the Album lacked any sort of flow in it's arrangement of songs making it nearly intolerable to sit and listen to completely as you could never get into a groove without a disruptive style change from powerhouse ballad to Slow-mid Urban. If you are a die-hard Montell Fan - buy the Album - If not - buy it by the track.
