iTunes Review

This impressive double album showcases Prince’s virtuosity as both a songwriter and a musician. He brings muscular pop-rock to “Little Red Corvette,” drops a synth-funk anthem in “D.M.S.R.,” and plays chicken-scratch guitar over the eight-minute groove of “Lady Cab Driver.” His edgy sexual bravado is matched by a pervasive sense of alienation, underscored by robotic production on tracks like “Something in the Water (Does Not Compute).” Still, on apocalyptic party track “1999,” he affirms that even in the face of a nuclear extinction, the human spirit will endure.

Prince 1999

I think that this was prince's first major ablum that hit popularity in the mid 80's. i liked the variety and especially the last song when you are with your girl/guy wow does it rock out. everyone should get it if you liked 1999.

Release date?

A great album in Prince's repetoire, but it was actually released in 1982 (Warner Bros. Records Inc. catalogue# 92 37201).

Yesterday

Well, I guess I should have bought the songs I was going to purchase last night, as the price was increased on each of the tops songs by 50 cents each.
