This band is quite refreshing from a now cluttered list of bands that all sound alike. These men know how to lay down a tune, and every song has its own sounds to it. These guys could get pretty huge, pretty soon.

Diamond in the Rough

Simply put this band is a diamond in the rough. They play with a maturity of music and lyrics beyond their age. The album has the benefit of being the kind that gets better and better the more you listen to it. For a first effort this album is amazing and really is a breath of fresh air from the same-sounding metal that has pervaded the industry since the seattle grunge era.

Fiery Southern rockers Black Stone Cherry originally hailed from a small rural town in south central Kentucky. According to the bandmembers, none of whom were born before 1983, the lack of anything to do in their hometown, coupled with a rich musical background in their community and families, led them to start playing music. Lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Robertson met drummer John Fred Young (the son of Kentucky Headhunters' Richard Young) in school, and the two played music together throughout...
