finally capturing that live sound on album

i'm a big teenage head fan. i have all their albums on vinyl and i've seen them live many times. this remake album features the original members, with the addition of marky ramone on drums. it captures the heavier sound of their live show that was never accurately captured on record before this. highly recommended for long-time fans and those just discovering teenage head.

A marriage made in punk Heaven

Teenage Head was obviously very influenced by The Ramones and were often referred to as Canada's answer to the punk Gods of New York. Having Marky hook up with them on this album was a great collaboration. Marky's drumming brings a real polished sound to Frankie and the boy's high energy classics. Not as raw and in-your-face as the originals but just the right amount of difference to make the album a great addition for any Head fan. All Canadian punk fans lost a legend with Frankie's passing last year. This album helps keep his outrageous personality alive. Well done!

Justice has been done...

This is what the band sounded like around 1980. The older studio albums were light on the bottom end, and this problem has been fixed by the new effort. It's ironic that Marky was in on this disc, because some of the The Ramones albums suffered from the same sort of production, notoriously so when Phil Spector was involved. I gave it five, because it was such a pleasant surprise from start to finish.
