iTunes Review

Russ Taff has sung a little of everything, from Southern gospel to traditional country. But rock ’n’ roll-minded listeners may know him best for this tough-talking, no-frills album, which unites outspokenly Christian lyrics with catchy melodies and big, sing-along choruses. Though the synth-driven production may seem a little dated today, the songs themselves sound as fresh as ever. “Vision” celebrates God’s plan of divine love, “Not Gonna Bow” pledges resolve against idolatry, and the title song champions a hero—or is that a Hero?—not necessarily honoured by society.

Still Worth a Medal

Some good variety on this radio-friendly early 80's Christian release. Sticking with The Imperials would have stifled this early rocker but alas, he has now retired to Gaither-ville unfortunately! There are some good radio-covers here and some ballads. There are some good biblically-based songs that are sure to encourage believers. There are also some pop rockers as well. Although the keyboards are louder than the guitars at times, this is still a vocal classic in the CCM genre.

I remember
