Editors’ Notes

The singular phrasing and manic yowls of Isaac Brock are here in abundance, as are turn-on-a-dime melodies, compelling lyrics, and inventive rhythms. But Good News also expands on the skeletal urgency of earlier albums to include slurring, stomping horns (supplied by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band), banjo, violin, and keyboards. It all comes together as an imaginative masterpiece by a rock band with wild-hearted vision.

Customer Reviews

AWSOME!!!

I believe it is their best album ever. It all just fits together. Even the interludes and the horn intro are needed to complete the album and the order of songs is very well picked. Float On, Ocean breathes salty, and heck they are all great!!!

Good Music for People Who Love Good Music

My favourite out of all the Modest Mouse albums, this is the one that started my Modest addiction. The songs catchy and wonderfully written, the lyrics deep and the singing alluring. Every song is it's own master piece and if you can't find at least one song on this album that you like, you have a serious problem. BUY THIS AMAZING ALBUM, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Its super good!

I really like this album... Althought there are some random 12 second songs, its really nice to listen to on the way to school. That sounds super lame, but meh...

Modest Mouse were founded in 1993 by guitarist and vocalist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric...
