Album Review

Far Out is a well-paced album that clearly stands alongside the finer moments of Grapes of Wrath, alternating quieter, introspective moments with upbeat rockers and pure Beatle-esque pop.

Nice Follow up from the Grapes of Wrath

Enjoyable album, and has some songs which stand out, like Far Out. Good album after the break up of Grapes of Wrath.

Not all original mixes! Very disappointed!

I downloaded "Solid Ground" & others from this album on a new device via iCloud, only to discover that it was a remixed version with sequenced keyboards, rather than the one I fell in love with almost 20 years ago The original version had the band's signature Hammond B3 organ much more prominent in the mix, along with more acousitc guitar. The vocal harmonies were far more subtle as well.

I consider this kind of stunt very disrespectful to fans and purists, who naturally expect to get the artist's original vision, rather than something altered for a different market.

Alternate mixes are fine if they are separate from the original album, so those who want something different can choose to purchase them (or get them in a bonus version of the album), but the original work of art should not be modified!

Now I am left to wonder whether or not other iTunes albums will be like this......should I be ready for some hip club mix of Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited???

Born David Walls in 1964, Ginger spent a large part of the 1980s moving between bands before settling for a two-year stint with the London-based pop-metal act the Quireboys. In October...
