People who bought this album, also bought rope and a chair.

I don't understand how a band can change from one of the most unique sounding bands in their genre, to a Nickelback sounding band. nickelback has harder songs than this album. I don't care if you think you are maturing as a band. If you think maturing means losing your entire fan base you have made over the last 4 ish years, then yes, you have matured more than any other band. I will totally forget this band even made this album and continue listening to l, ll and lll forever.

What to say about this record? It is totally missing that Maylene edge that the band is known for. I'm sure the band worked really hard on the record but this was not made with respect to the loyal fans. It doesn't even sound like Maylene. No energy and the album doesn't give you that feeling to wanna sing along. I don't mean to disrespect such a great band, but in all honesty this is an awful album. Don't just take my word for it, the whole album is available to stream online so check it out first before throwing away your cash. Obviously the band is going to loose alot of their fans but it seems to be intentional, you can't put out such a watered down version of yourself without knowing that. I think the intent is to get the radio crowd listening to them more to get record and ticket sales up. As Christians they just sold what should be most important to them, their souls....

So sad

I think maylene needs to use their mulligan on this album and try again.

Although they share Underoath's hardcore roots, there's an old-school vibe to Maylene and the Sons of Disaster's sound that suggests the generation of 1970s boogie...
