fantastic album

Elevator Music for the 21st Century

Sometimes I get the impression these indie artists have never heard music before. Like they're aliens who try to understand Earth sounds, but can’t get it. Woodpigeon sounds almost like they could be good, but all their albums ultimately don't add up, like angles in the shadow of a cube. These songs all sound the same, and yet they don't feel cohesive. Every year they get slightly better but fall short of Andrew Bird, and trail behind in the footsteps of Sufjan Stevens. They need to find their own sound, and perhaps get out of that little niche Mark's dug for himself--Oh, and stop sharing vocals. Why do they have so many members if only one of them seems to be able to bring anything to the music? awesome.

kim eatmon's comment is bush league. if you don't appreciate an indie bands ambition to be different then you don't understand indie music at all. go back to the closet you street raven.

awesome album:)
