12 Songs, 29 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Without the hits ("The Last Time" and "Satisfaction"), and with a few songs that either already had appeared or later would appear on U.S. album releases, ("Heart of Stone," "I'm Free"), this might seem at best a redundant afterthought for American fans. That only four of the dozen songs are originals would make it even more so. But it still is a prime example of the Stones' early strengths, and some aficionados consider this a better collection than The Rolling Stones Now!, the U.S. Out of Our Heads, or the upcoming December's Children, the albums with which this shares material.
