iTunes Review

While Miranda Lambert's fourth album still bears the same raw, rebellious spirit that made her famous, she expands in multiple directions at once, both lyrically and musically. Naturally, Miranda remains the queen of kiss-offs both sassy ("Baggage Claim") and bittersweet ("Same Old You"). But from the processed vocals and odd sound effects on "Fine Tune" to the postmodern rockabilly feel of the subtly feminist smash "Mama's Broken Heart," Four the Record sounds unlike any other mainstream country album of its era.

She can do no wrong!

As always Miranda brings it like a true country girl!!! Love it!

Her strongest yet

Miranda Lambert has always painted a clear picture of who she is. On her debut album, Kerosene, and follow-up Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, her persona was that of a tough, rebellious, honest but somewhat unstable and immature young woman. It made for great music. On third album Revolution, she became more thoughtful, less bombastic, gentler in her touch, more sophisticated and at times more experimental musically. This latest effort, Four the Record, brings it all together, with songs that would have been at home on her first two discs (Fastest Girl in Town), Revolution-style tracks (Dear Diamond) and some completely new sounds (Fine Tune). Her underrated vocal talents are showcased on Safe, and her delivery of Oklahoma Sky is one of Miranda's most honest and touching recordings yet. Overall, this is a great album, challenging and emotional, from one of our most important artists.

Amazing album! Miranda you are truly an incredible artist! You never cease to amaze me.

Miranda Lambert defied all conventional notions of how a credible country career should proceed. Following an adolescence where she alternated between singing and acting, she came to prominence not as the winner but as a runner-up on the 2003 American Idol knockoff Nashville Star, a dubious stepping stone to stardom if ever there was one, but Lambert's 2005 Kerosene obliterated any notion that she was a reality TV refugee. Filled with lithe, powerful, neo-traditional country songs, many penned by...
