Classic blues with grit

This CD is a superb overview of classic recordings by one of the giants of Delta blues. Years before Robert Johnson made his landmark recordings, White was layin' it down with grit and finesse. While the CD sound quality has the typical lo-fi wheeze of the era, the recordings are clear enough to capture the intensity of White's slide guitar and rich baritone. Fans of Dylan: note the inclusion of "Fixin' to Die," a song he covered on his first album in '61. Note of warning: iTunes has mismatched the song titles with the audio, so check to make sure the songs you download are the ones u want.
