Album Review

There's a jack-o'-lantern on the cover and the first track is named after an old Nintendo video game accessory, plus there's a genre joke with the title "EDM Death Machine," so don't think Australia's Knife Party have gone serious on their Haunted House EP. Quite the contrary, this blasting set takes the most garish bits of their 2012 EP Rage Valley and ups the dose with bass dropping heavier than before and dubstep studio tricks getting worked overtime as melodies and hooks shatter into little pieces. It is adrenaline-fueled fluff, giving dubstep heads a quick fix and exiting after the right-sized length of an EP's run time.

Not the best

I'll go through each song
Power Glove : 5/5 this one is definitely the album's hit. Enjoyed it the whole way through, overall a great song.
Lrad: 4/5 it's a great song overall, the melody got annoying after a while, if you want to run that melody through make it catchier. But overall it was great!
EDM Death Machine: 3.5/5 this one was different but a little too different for me. I found the song cool overall, but not something I'd listen to often.
Internet Friends (VIP): 1/5 this song was just a pointless remix of their already popular song. Clearly an album filler.
Overall a great album, my favourite was Power Glove. Keep on making great music Knife Party!

Knife Party is too good

Rob, and Gareth are honestly too amazing for their own good. Everything they have ever produced has been a masterpiece, and that goes for "Haunted House" as well. Every song on this EP is huge! They're a little more experimental than their last EP's "Rage Valley", and "100% No Modern Talking" but they're good experiments. I recommend this album so highly for anyone that loves good EDM.

Best EP Yet.

Amazing. That's all I can say. Love you KnifeParty <3
