À qui appartient l'beau temps ? (Version anniversaire deluxe)

As the separatist Parti Québécois scored its first provincial election victory in 1976, Paul Piché personified the surging optimism among those fighting for an independent Quebec. His warm, welcoming debut album plays like a series of national anthems for the province’s new day rising. Adapting American folk and French chanson traditions for the ’70s soft-rock age, Piché created signature songs, such as “Heureux d’un printemps” and “La gigue à Mitchounano,” which are intimate enough to stoke campfires yet rousing enough to rally the masses onto the streets.
