Album Review

The 20 All-Time Greatest Hits collection contains several of Red Sovine's biggest hits, including "Teddy Bear," "Giddy-Up-Go," "Phantom 309," and "Little Joe." The majority of classics are here, making this a good introduction to the trailblazing vocalist who combined honky tonk and truck driving country.

Former Driver, I miss the road

Mr. Sovine is an all time classic. When I was a boy, Dad drove. When he came home, I would sneak into this briefcase and take out his 8 tracks. Mr. Sovine was always my favourite. Phantom 309, Teddy Bear, Roses for Mama. Lovely, beautiful, heart warming music.

Thank you Mr. Sovine. You touched my heart and I hope to share your music with my first son, 3 months old today.

Sovine and his childhood friend Johnnie Bailes joined Jim Pike's Carolina Tar Heels and...
