A welcome change of pace

It's rare to find a hip hop album with substance (save a select few artists), but Fort Minor's debut effort has it in spades. For every club anthem (In Stereo) there's a powerful hip hop track with a message (Kenji). The entire album is extremely well written, with clever lyrics never more than a few moments away from one another (as is typical with Shinoda's writing style). If you're a fan of Linkin Park shouldn't be a factor when picking this album, as it's powerful enough to stand on it's own feet apart from it's rock hybrid brother band.

Great Dubut Album

This is a grat album, a must have for those who like rock/rap artists. Top songs are Remember the Name, Where'd You Go and the best song on the album is Kenji.

In November 2005, Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda debuted as a solo artist with Rising Tied, an ambitious collection credited to his alter ego, Fort Minor, that blended hip-hop with electronics and rock elements.
