Album Review

Released in 2006, Retrovisión is a hits collection from the Spanish pop/rock band fronted by Carlos Tarque, M-Clan. Spanning their first six studio albums and 11-year career, the collection features material from their 1995 Southern rock-influenced debut, Un Buen Momento ("Perdido en la Ciudad"), right up to 2004's more commercial Sopa Fria ("Filosofia Barata"). It also includes their cover versions of the Steve Miller Band's "Serenade" and Rod Stewart's "Maggie May," alongside two previously unreleased songs, "Bananas" and "Oigo Musica." ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Formerly known as Murcielagos Clan, M-Clan was formed in the early '90s. Heavily influenced by Southern rock, M-Clan debuted with Un Buen Momento in 1996, followed by Coliseum a year later. In 1999, ex-Tequila Alejo Stivel produced Usar y Tirar, which provided an acclaimed slice of the band's folk, blues, and hard rock style. On November 23, 2000, a live acoustic performance was recorded, becoming M-Clan's fourth record. Sin Enchufe ("Unplugged") was released in 2001. After 2002's Defectos Personales...
