Album Review

On The Ritual, Testament moved away from their trademark speed-metal and began exploring slower, heavier territory. Instead of sounding like a retreat, the group sounds re-energized by the change in direction, as guitarist Alex Skolnick spits out a series of brutal riffs that manage to form memorable, powerful songs.

Testament is awesome and this album will always hold awesome memories for me. They should continue where they left off right here after this album, NOT after Lamb of God or Slipknot.

Unable to change with the times like Metallica, Testament quickly faded from sight in the early '90s, but have remained active and very popular...
