Shut your mouth this album is AWESOME

Oh Matt Good, a decade of music. This is exactly what a best of album is supposed to be. What's with this stupid new thing of artists releasing best of albums like after two releases (aka Hilary Duff aka SATAN). Matt's got 6 LP's under his belt along with 3 sexy EP's. In a Coma is loaded with all the singles (except for AoB), and rocks your socks. Buy... NOW.

The Best & Yet More to Come

A good place to start with MG's music if you don't have the original albums or for the diehard fan like myself. The nice additions here are the two new songs ('Big City Life', 'Oh Be Joyful'),  and especially the acoustic renditions of a number of songs:  'Tripoli' is visceral, quite moving; 'Truffle Pigs' and 'Gen. X-Wing" are also specific favourites. B-sides etc.:  'Fated', 'Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance' & 'The Fine Art of Falling Apart' are outstanding acoustic songs as well. What a voice. The hard copy extended version of "In A Coma" includes a DVD of 17 videos (plus commentary) and the intriguing behind the scenes/making of the acoustic versions, a.k.a. "Rooms"

He realliy is an incredible artist! He does an excellent job at maintaining his unique character through his music. Once a fan, always a fan. Can't wait to see him live this June. :O

A crafty songwriter with a strong melodic sense and a somewhat brash outspokenness, Good led MGB from regional success in their native Vancouver to Juno-winning, double-platinum status over the course of four albums before the group disbanded in 2002. The following year, he made his solo debut with Avalanche, a more brooding and thoughtful stylistic departure that featured...
