Great Metal

This album is a great followup for DB, especially due to the transition of the band internally. I'm not sure why this is labelled as a rock album instead of metal. you'd have to be more than deaf to think this is not metal. itunes really needs to step up it's game in the metal world, for shame....


Déjà un 9e album en carrière pour Dimmu Borgir. Et on peut facilement voir que le groupe a bien évolué depuis ''In Sorte Diaboli''. En effet, le groupe mets d'avantage emphase sur le son symphonique. À dire vrai, il s'agit plus d'une oeuvre de métal symphonique que d'une oeuvre de black métal (c'est un album considérablement moins agressif que les précédents). Mais, cela ne change rien à la perception que j'ai de Dimmu Borgir. Même si l'album est bien différent de ses prédécesseurs, il en reste que c'est un album franchement agréable à écouter. La musique est toujours aussi bien exécutée et le groupe bénéficie d'une production plus léchée que jamais. En résumé, Abrahadabra est une très bonne avancée pour le groupe. Et j'ai bien hâte de voir si le groupe restera dans cette voie pour la sortie d'un prochain album.

Pride of Norway

This is classic Dimmu Borgir in my opinion. Every release leading up to this one has been more experimental then the latter. This time with a full Orchestra backing there black spiritual journeys. Best to listen to earlier works before hand to get a good feeling for this band.
