Synthetic rock

Wicked album! Incredible vocals and musical arrangement. These guys should be selling out the Air Canada Centre! Its a synthesis of every great era of rock in one album that delivers wholeheartedly what rock fans have been missing for 2 decades--authenticity, power, and an anthem-like feel. I'm relieved that Rock is alive and well. With the sheepdogs and now one bad son, looks like Saskatoon is the new Seattle.

Best album I've heard in a long time.

I'll have to admit, I'm a fairly new fan of OBS. I had never heard of the band until they went on tour in January with Buckcherry across Canada. In fact, Power 97 in Winnipeg even screwed up their name and had them listed as "One Band Son" on their website for the upcoming show.

When they hit the stage before Buckcherry I was blown away. The stage presence, the musicianship, the excellent songs. I picked up the CD at the show, and I even met the band and complimented them on their look and sound. They have it all.

I instantly fell in love with this album, literally every track is good. Rustbucket, Scarecrows, She's On Fire, It Ain't Right, Retribution Blues, and Moneytrain are a number of standouts for me.

It's no wonder that since January Scarecrows has become a major radio hit across Canada, hitting #5 on the active rock charts in Canada, and spending more than 10 weeks in the top 10. Congrats to their success, it is much deserved. This album is the best rock album I have heard in ages, and I still cannot stop listening to it. It is just old school meat and potatoes rock n roll from the Canadian Prairies.
