We can think of only one composer whose deft musical ability can do justice to a story as moving as Schindler's List’s: John Williams. On the plaintive "Immolation (With Our Lives, We Give Life)," the veteran scorer forges gently ahead with a single, mournful melody, and the heartbreaking refrain makes a beeline straight to our hearts. Elsewhere, on stirring tracks like "Making the List" and "I Could Have Done More," Williams collaborates with violinist Itzhak Perlman, whose tremulous strings convey the frailty of hope.
I recently watched the movie, I have been waiting to do so for almost three years now...I am in Grade 9. The pieces in this soundtrack could bring you to tears, it's amazing. God Bless those who survived the Holocaust, it is truly a wonder how you did it. I wish that I could have gotten to meet Oscar Schindler, but he was too far before my time.
The most moving music ever created.
This movie was the best movie I've ever seen. It's a movie that every person should see once in their live's. The music that compliments it is just amazing and will bring you to tears.
This is one of the most powerful soundtracks ever created. This music is haunting and moving, painting a disturbing image of the holocaust. The melodies and harmonies are on par with the greatest classical music ever; I've never heard such emotional playing. A truly awesome creation.
