Mark Mancina does it well.

When listening to this soundtrack, you almost feel like you're a part of the movie. You can feel the tension of the Assassination, and the coolness of Sarah and Swagger. If you enjoyed Shooter, it's garunteed that you will enjoy the soundtrack as well. Mark Mancina hit the nail on the head.

'Nasty Letter' track: Absolutely Great; and 'Shooter' album: not so much

The record label won't sell Otis Taylor's track, 'Nasty Letter' to you without your buying the whole album, and there's a good reason for that... That song is absolutely amazing. Incredible guitar work, great sound, and nice lyrics. It's one of THE great songs out there. Mark Mancina's work is good for a movie soundtrack - no question, but it's just not music one listens too by itself. I hate to spend $10 just to be able to listen to the one song and I resent that I'm forced to do so. I give 5+ stars for Nasty Letter, and 2 or 3 for the rest.
