Laptop electronica specialist Daisuke Endo released Tide of Stars as an independent release in 2007, without promotion, to sudden and surprising acclaim, finding his way onto sales charts for physical and digital versions of the album. Sourcing his sounds to be intentionally difficult to recognize, the layers of audio that De De Mouse builds upon lead to a thick, mechanical, but hyper-cheerful dance format that's rare in dance clubs.

De De Mouse is the brainchild of bespectacled Tokyo-based studio boffin Daisuke Endo. Following the lead of "chiptune" pioneers (and fellow Tokyoites) YMCK, De De Mouse's sound is characterized by feather-light vocals, housey beats, infectious synth melodies, and lush production values.
