Album Review

Pure Heroine is the debut album from New Zealander Ella Yelich-O'Connor, better known as Lorde. She was spotted at the young age of 12, singing at a talent show in her hometown near Auckland, and subsequently signed to Universal. She shot to prominence in early 2013 with a hugely popular EP, The Love Club, which produced the single "Royals." The record was written with producer Joel Little and showcases her indie-tinged electro-pop sound., Rovi

ICONIC

This will be one of the best albums of the year. Revolutionary.
Lorde has taken my ears by storm and given me a new Alternative approach to music. She is so young yet so relevant and I feel like she represents quirks and individuality of our super-cool generation. So happy for her, and can't wait for this album. Love her!

Dear Diary

Dear Diary,
It is Day 42. We are out of water. Jimmy disappeared in the night. We are waiting--waiting for October 1st (stupid Canadian iTunes) to be rescued from the misery of the mundane pop culture music industry. October 1st is the day that my favourite album will be released, bringing a certain meaning to life! A certain insatiable vitality! It needs to come faster…we are waning…the light is growing dim…we are on the cusp of our hour of darkness…help us Lorde, O help us…let the hours fly by, and the clock strike midnight. Bring sweet satisfaction to hour thirsty ears.

Love

Lorde nails it with this album. It fits my every mood, it's cool and witty. Unique lyrics and soothing voice. She is here to stay.
