Girl's Generation first debut single in the US, and it couldn't have been better. Support!

Note: Being high up on the charts /=/ good, quality music.

This comeback was severely overhyped and the only reason this song is so high up on the iTunes chart is because SONES (or any of the hardcore kpop fan clubs ahem ELFs, SONEs, etc.) will do anything to make sure oppa/unnir is on top regardless of how bad/good the release was.

Anyway, as previously said, a severely overhyped and underwhelming comeback. It's too bad 'cause this song actually has potential, especially with a fierce non-cutesy concept. (I don't blame SNSD, more SME as they've had a string of half-assed comebacks this year ie. SuJu, f(x) and CSJH The Grace.) How often do we have a fair share of lines between the girls, hear Yoona/Hyo/Sooyoung actually sing? Jessica sounds decent for once as well. It just doesn't have the catchiness or charm of other releases, and there isn't anything special about it, not even the "rapping" part (They need to stop that in kpop). If anything, this is as bad as "Oh"

Anyway, SME could've chosen another track as a title track like Trick or something. Otherwise, SNSD can do so much better aka like Gee or Genie.

Also, English version sounds better than Korean version, and the song does grow on you (but it will never be as golden as Gee, Genie, The Great Escape or even RDR). But really, that's it SME?

finally coming!!!

too long to wait it but it's finally coming and it's gorgeous!

A nine-piece girl group from South Korea, Girls' Generation -- also known as SNSD or So Nyeo Shi Dae -- was an SM Entertainment creation, to go along with that company's other dance-pop group, the all-boy Super Junior. Members Hyoyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Sooyoung, Sunny, Taeyeon, Tiffany, Yoona, and Yuri had -- for the most part -- been a part of Korean pop media, appearing in commercials and ads before winning places in Girls' Generation and making their debut as such in the summer of 2007.
