Their Best Album in Years

I've been a Bosstones fan for many years, and while I have all of their albums, I haven't listened to the most recent ones more than a handful of times each. They just didn't stick with me like their older stuff did. But Pin Points and Gin Points definitely seems to be a stand out album, having given it a few solid listens now. They seemed to have jammed all of the ska songs at the front end of the album, which isn't a bad thing, as it really starts with a bang and carries the momentum almost all the way through.

A great deal of the groundwork for the mid- to late-'90s explosion of ska and ska-metal was laid by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, who were one of the first bands to cross high-energy ska with hardcore punk and heavy metal and who also helped shift its tone toward testosterone-filled party music.
