iTunes Review

On the follow-up to 2011’s ornate Black and White America, Lenny Kravitz infuses a heavy-hitting mix of soul, funk and psychedelic rock with fiery emotional urgency. The GRAMMY® winner’s well-known versatility is on full display with his tenth studio album: he plays almost all the instruments on a set of shrewdly written tunes about the highs and lows of love. The most immediately gratifying moments of Strut—“The Chamber”, “The Pleasure and the Pain” and the grinding, guitar-driven title track—have the self-assured verve of his signature hits like “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and “Fly Away”. But the reward of Strut is its album-length consistency; after opening with the righteously risqué rocker “Sex”, Strut offers a wild ride of boldly executed rock.

Just WOW!!!

Lenny is AMAZING! Everything he does is wicked cool! This new body of work is a representation of all things great, Lenny! Love this new album, dude!!

Lenny Kills It! 🎈🔫💋

On 'Strut' Lenny Kravitz is back with 14 new killer tracks. Kravitz manages to blend his soothing vocals with fresh, groovy guitar riffs and a winning assortment of various other instruments, including perhaps the standout of the album, the usage of the saxophone. Many artists would find themselves hard struck to use all the instruments Lenny employs, but Kravitz seamlessly moves from track to track with ease, only getting stronger as the album continues. With 'Strut' Lenny Kravitz proves that he is not going anywhere, and if he is still releasing material of this quality, then we don't want him to.

Groove Line

It's from "Love is in the air". The song is great though. Love it.

Rock music in the 1980s had completely lost the gritty feel of earlier eras, until Lenny Kravitz rediscovered the magic formula. Kravitz's sonic template combined good old-fashioned rock & roll with glam, soul, and psychedelia, making him a massive success. He made a splash straight out of the gate with his album Let Love Rule. After that, he de-emphasized the flower-power aspects of his music and began moving toward a heavier rock sound. This progression brought him such huge hits as "Are You Gonna...
