When it came to celebrating his 20th year of recording, Donald Lawrence opted not to take the standard route. Rather than release a simple anthology consisting of previously released material, Lawrence recorded live performances of career highlights and added some new material. Featuring the Tri-City Singers, as well as guest appearances from the likes of Yolanda Adams, Lalah Hathaway, Faith Evans, and Natalie Grant, 20 Year Celebration, Vol. 1: Best for Last serves as a lively introduction for newcomers as well as a treat for longtime fans. Among the highlights are "The Blessing of Abraham," "God," and "Ultimate Relationship."
