Album Review

Like Paul McCartney and Sting before him, the Bee Gees' Robin Gibb builds on a long and storied pop career by composing his first classical work, which commemorates the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Written in collaboration with his son, the actor and musician Robin-John 'RJ' Gibb, the epic, filmic requiem is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the RSVP Voices Choir, soloists Mario Frangoulis and 'The Choirgirl' Isabel Suckling, and features the voice of Gibb himself on one track. Its live premiere will take place on 10th April 2012, exactly 100 years to the day since the Titanic set sail., Rovi

Excellent

An excellent collection of pieces!

Although it has often had to fight for its survival, the RPO remains one of the busiest ensembles in Great Britain. The orchestra annually offers a set of concert series in three London venues (Royal Festival Hall,...
