no way. on iTunes!? yahoo!

I saw S.K. live for twelve minutes at a showcase of potential performers for school districts to hire in B.C. this past April. I was completely broken down after his brief, brilliant set... A tiny funny poem about cows and wieners to warm us up, followed by a long, beautiful, heartbreaking -- yet still funny -- social commentary that left me weeping uncontrollably and in total awe of this awkward, down-to-earth, strangely sexy poet. I wish him massive success. As a high school English teacher, I thank god for this man!

Awe-to-the-friggen'-some.

I've been fortunate enough to see this disgustingly wondrous man live twice, once with The Short Story Long. All in all? His words are amazing, his soul beautiful and hilariously relative.
I have yet to have a favourite from this album, there's too many although with lines like, 'I've never been into heavy lifting but I can still raise the roof', I'm continously won over like ketchup on a hotdog.
At the end of the day, the most awesome thing about his work is that everyone can relate, or he'll at least make you feel like it. You don't have to have been in a relationship, lost a loved one, picked your nose, kissed a girl in third grade, or even noticed the funny things in life to appreciate and easily fall for this badboy.
I highly recommend if you haven't checked this out already~

Shut Up And Say Something

Different from Shane Koyczan's first album with the absence of his accompaniment, The Short Story Long. This album is incredible. Tomatoes is my favourite. If you like spoken word, you will love this.
