iTunes Review

The baby-faced casanova released his first two albums before turning 20; on 8701, he grows up. It’s impossibly slick from a distance, boasting freaky, futuristic soul produced by Jam & Lewis, Jermaine Dupri, and The Neptunes: brittle drums batter sparkling acoustic guitars, and rhythms move with a stiff, robotic shimmy. But beneath the glossy exterior and swaggering come-ons lies heartbreak. On chirpy almost-love song “U Remind Me,” Usher’s haunted by the ghost of an ex, and on the gentle “U Got It Bad,” you can feel his pain with every falsetto coo.

Missing Pop Ya Colla

This is a great album but this version on iTunes is missing one of my favourite Usher tracks 'Pop Ya Colla' that if you buy the CD in the stores you still get.

I'm guessing somebody on that track – author, producer, write – hasn't yet signed to agree to have their work on iTunes. A great shame. Still I think iTunes really should alert their customers to the fact tracks are missing, no?

Incomplete Track Listing.

I was very disappointed to have bought this record to see (only after I bought a physical copy as well) that this version of the record is short 2 tracks. Unlike other incomplete albums, this one is not marked at all.

dissapointed??? i think not!! I love usher.. his albums are amazing and this one of the best if not the best

As part of the thriving LaFace label roster, he made an instant impact in R&B's post-new jack swing era. He successfully rode mainstream songwriting and production trends across three decades and peaked artistically and commercially during the mid-2000s, when his landmark fourth album, Confessions, outshone all of its competitors. It generated...
