iTunes Review

For his second full-length, Unorthodox Jukebox, the multifaceted entertainer eschews trends. He follows his unique inner voice on the early hits—which double as the album’s leadoff tracks—“Young Girls” and “Locked Out of Heaven.” Mars showcases his impressive musical range, powerful vocal chops, and innate pop sensibilities throughout, with highlights including a boogie-funk sparkler (“Treasure”), a sorrowful piano ballad (“When I Was Your Man”), a reggae/dub dazzler (“Show Me”), and a doo-wop-inflected burner (“If I Knew”).

Well, it's ok...

I don't understand why so many people are saying this is the best album, that it's perfect, and so on. The songs are easily forgettable, he's all over the place with his style (which will hurt him in the long run...) I believe he tried too hard, and he tried to copy some songs (Treasure --> P.Y.T., Locked out of heaven --> Police). Look, he has some ok songs, but stop saying it's incredible... Well it's just my opinion, I love the guy, I think he's great and he's an awesome singer (his hosting of SNL was one of the season's best) but I believe he missed with this album..

Definitely Unorthodox

Bruno Mars brings a bit of every genre to his sophomore album. Very eclectic so there's a track for everyone

Better than the first!

Mars' first album blew me away, and now this album is even better! Worth every buck and is an AMAZING album!

Bruno Mars is among the flashiest, most versatile singer/songwriters in post-millennial pop. An all-around entertainer, he also plays multiple instruments, produces, and choreographs. His path to mainstream success was lengthy. After he worked a string of behind-the-scenes jobs, including writing songs for Brandy, singing backup for Sugababes, and impersonating Elvis Presley, he put his name on top of the Billboard Hot 100 by co-writing Flo Rida and Kesha's "Right Round." One year later, he collaborated...
