Patience rewarded

This is certainly not an album that will wow you on first listening. In part, this is due to the thematic elements of the music, which are dark. But it's also because the music (and lyrics) are more subtle than mainstream music and have more depth than usual, even for Williams. The musical and lyrical complexities are hidden, somewhat, by apparent simplicity (there's nothing simple here). But, after a few listens what emerges is a magnificent album, as good as anything Williams has done and possibly her best. This is music that will be listened to years from now and will influence future artists. And yes, it's challenging but that's what makes it so rewarding.

Give it Time

This album gets better each time you take a pause and listen to it seriously. It's all in the mood she establishes one song at the time. If you listen closely, you'll be suprised by her sometimes subtle lyrics. Lucinda follows her path, heading west where the sun comes down.

Thank you Lucinda!
