Varg is back

Some might say that Belus was Varg's return onto the scene, but Fallen just improves on Belus in every way. The mix is nicer to listen too, Varg's cleans have vastly improved, and the songs combine his early works (Aske, Det Som Engang Var), with the ambient tones of the "prison albums" (Daui? Baldirs) almost flawlessly. An essential purchase for any metal fan

Howling Through the Old Villages of Norway

Even if I do not appreciate Varg as a public figure, I sure do appreciate as a musician and that he is a darn talented one aswell. Burzum are one of my favorite bands in black metal because of the grim cold production and that they sound very traditional. Fallen is truly something else and another important item in the Varg collection. This album sounds more haunting than the previous albums and it feels like roaming through an abandoned village rather than a mystical forest as felt in Belus and Aske. The last track in particular is very creepy but it one of my favorite outros ever written. I translated the song title into English which signifies ' To Hell and Back Again' and took me in my dreams to the gateway of the unknown, I still believe that it is an awaiting message of some sort but I can't figured it out. In conclusion, you should really listen to this album it shows a side of metal that is both enchanting and menacing.

Waste of Time

Biggest piece of garbage I have ever heard. Period.

Although Burzum had an unpredictably experimental bent -- encompassing black metal, industrial, electronic, and dark ambient music -- Vikernes will forever be associated with his conviction for the 1993 murder of former Mayhem bandmate Euronymous. It wasn't the first time Vikernes had run afoul of the law; he had been a suspect in arsons directed...
