Editors’ Notes

Singer Gerard Way funnels his finest storytelling skills into a gleefully morbid tale of cancer and chemo, final words and flatlines. In simple terms, The Black Parade is the Sgt. Peppers' of the Tim Burton/Warped Tour generation. A tasteful tribute to the Queen's and the Bowie's it "borrows" from in scope and sound.

Customer Reviews

Mind blowing

I'm addicted. Amazing guitars, the drum beats are pumped and fast, Gerard gives a Freddy Mercury quality performance. I highly recommend this. Every song is unique, every song has something different to it that makes the album like no other. Hope you enjoy it, because i did. Right now i love This Is How I Disappear, Famous Last Words, Welcome to the Black Parade (why is it not the first track is what i'm wondering), Disnechanted, and really just the entire album.

One Of The Best Ever

This album is the best I've heard in years. Every single track is superb. The End--- The album starts out with this track it really sets the tone for the whole album and kind of gives you the begining of the story that is The Black Parade. Dead--- This track is extremely good. The guiatr solo at the begining is insane. The lyrics are really good. They speak of the patient having no friends and about how he got what he deserved. This Is How I Disappear--- This is one of the best tracks on the album. The lyrics are really dark. The Sharpest Lives--- Another really good track. Thoutgh not as good as disappear. Welcaome to the Black Parade--- This is a really good track it really sets the tone for the whole album. I Don't Love You--- This is one of the more balladly songs the album, but its still one the best on the album. House of Wolves--- This will be a live favorite. One of my favorites. Cancer---This another really balladly song. A really good track. Mama--- A really depressing song, but also a good one. Sleep--- A really epic song. Similer to Welcome to the Black Parade. Teenagers--- A brighter track on the album. it really captures what some teens go through. Disenchanted--- The best track on the album hands down. Great track. Famous Last Words--- Rumored to be the next single. A really good track.

My Chemical Romance Keeps Getting Better

My Chemical Romance has once again shown us what they're capable in 2006's follow up to Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. The album has songs that are much more epic like 'Dead!' and 'Welcome to the Black Parade'. MCR has yet to dissapoint and this album is a prime example. It's a definite must-buy for any fan

Biography

Formed: September 11, 2001 in Newark, NJ

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

With their emo-punk songwriting, theatrical vocals, and neo-goth appearance, My Chemical Romance rose from the East Coast underground to the forefront of modern rock during the early 2000s. In keeping with the tragic element of the group's best-known singles -- including "Helena," "I'm Not OK (I Promise)," and "Welcome to the Black Parade" -- My Chemical Romance has roots in catastrophe, as frontman Gerard Way decided to form the band after watching the World Trade Center collapse on September 11,...
