A Lot of Promise

I want to love this album. I really do. I really dug the first album because it sounded so different and original. Nate is an incredible songwriter and lyricist, and also an incredible singer. In my opinion, the vocoder and the drum machines really murdered a lot of fun.'s personality. The melodies are great, and from a songwriting perspective, it's incredibly well done, but when you put it into a computer and make everything perfect, a good chunk of personality is lost. Honestly, they're amazing musicians, so the overproduction really ruined the album for me personally. Their acoustic performances blow me away, but the producer just made this album sound a lot more sterile than it could have been.

Absolute Perfection

At first I never thought I'd really be Ito this type of music. But then after buying their album aim and ignite, I realized just how extraordinary their music really is. I thought I'd give this album a go, and I'm glad I did. They did an amazing job and this is definitely by far one of my top favorites. Nate is an outstanding singer and song writer, like his band members have said about him, he really is the whole reason 'Fun.' is fun. His lyrics take over and there is no going back. Anyways, I highly recommend this album!! :)
